A glimpse into reality – Silent retreat on emptiness

Withdraw from the city chaos and in the stillness of silence explore Buddha’s most profound teaching on the way things really are- emptiness. Like seeing through an illusion, by growing our wisdom our idea of a fixed and inherently existent self, world and others begins to dissolve. In this way we can live in a lighter, more flexible way where constant change and possibility becomes tangible.

“If we realise emptiness directly we will attain permanent liberation from the sufferings of this life and countless future lives; there is no greater meaning than this” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Everybody welcome!

Retreat fee: £25 for non-members including a homemade lunch

  • What is a buddhist blessing empowerment?

A Buddhist blessing empowerment is a ceremony in Buddhism where a qualified teacher transmits powerful blessing energy and initiates a student into a particular practice of meditation. It's a guided meditation and ritual designed to awaken the potential for wisdom and compassion within the individual. It's a powerful method for connecting with enlightened beings and receiving their blessings to advance on the spiritual path.

  • Who can attend?

Anyone can attend, it is not only for buddhists and everyone can do with a bit of extra positive energy.

  • What should I bring?

It is customary to bring an offering of food (vegetarian), snack, or a non alcoholic drink to be given for the main event, the empowerment. This creates a stronger connection with the Buddha and also positivity, as it is a practice of generosity.
