January 6 – February 3: Understanding karma, cause and effect
Throughout our life we all encounter suffering and problems and may find ourselves asking ‘Why me?’ Buddha’s teachings on the law of karma give us a clear and practical explanation on why things happen in the way that they do, enabling us to respond to difficulties in a more constructive way, transforming our attitude from feelings of unfairness and blame, to insight and acceptance. Rather than seeking happiness, we learn to create it. Rather than running from unhappiness, we abandon the things that cause it.
In this 5 week series, we’ll explore how to avoid future suffering and cultivate the inner conditions that give us the freedom to take control of our lives and experience genuine peace and joy.
