With an understanding of the essence of being human, learn to use your life to free your mind from mistaken conceptions that cause us to experience an endless stream of problems, worries, anxieties and limitations. Through spiritual practice we can learn to move from a state of negativity and disconnectedness to one of deep peace and pure happiness.

Kelsang SamaResident TeacherKelsang Sama is a meditation teacher and the Resident Teacher at KMC Manchester.
She has deep experience of and insight into Buddha’s teachings. She is known for her great kindness, sense of humour and special skills in giving practical instructions that show us how to cultivate inner peace and make our lives deeply meaningful.

A retreat is an activity that allows the practitioners to step away from the busyness of daily life and focus on a specific practice of meditation. The function of meditation is to make the mind peaceful and calm. Whenever we meditate, we are performing a mental action that will cause us to experience inner peace in the future.
