Meditation (MON)
Suitable for everyone, our weekly in-person meditation classes in Manchester are a perfect opportunity to take a break from busy daily life and experience the benefits of meditation for yourself. Take time out to reduce the stress in your day, which can help to remove internal stress, anxiety, worry and negativity.
You will also learn how to use Buddhist meditation & mindfulness training to increase your inner peace and happiness, improve relationships and solve daily problems. These classes include a brief talk explaining about the meditation and the guided meditation itself.

What is meditation?
Meditation is a mind that is single-pointedly focused on a virtuous object, and whose function is to make the mind peaceful and calm. Whenever we meditate, we are performing a mental action that will cause us to experience inner peace in the future.

Do I have to be buddhist to attend?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits. Buddhism is a non-evangelical religion. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith or to none.
