Everyone is welcome, no experience of meditation is necessary.

Gen Kelsang Drolkyi is the Resident Teacher of KMC Manchester. She is a senior teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition, a Buddhist nun who has taught internationally for over 30 years. Gen Drolkyi has been a dedicated, close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for many years, receiving ordination from him in 1993. An inspiring teacher, she is loved for her clear and insightful teachings and her ability to communicate profound Dharma in an accessible, practical way.

  • What is a meditation retreat?

    A retreat is an activity that allows the practitioners to step away from the busyness of daily life and focus on a specific practice of meditation. The function of meditation is to make the mind peaceful and calm. Whenever we meditate, we are performing a mental action that will cause us to experience inner peace in the future.

    Anyone can attend, meditation can be beneficial for everyone as it is a mental activity that focuses on creating more positivity in the mind.
